Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Round Table.
The theme for the fancy dress Final Night Party at Strictly Blackpool 27 is ‘Life’s a Beach’, so now is the time to plan your costumes with your fellow club members.
We will be taking the opportunity to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Round Table, founded 100 years ago by Louis Marchesi. Let’s make a big splash and make it a night to remember!
Would you like to play golf on the Friday morning?
There is no official golf competition at the 2027 conference, but we have had requests to organise a golf event. We have therefore arranged for delegates to play an 18 hole round of golf at a local golf course on the Friday morning. The cost will be approximately £60.

News on hotel accommodation at Strictly Blackpool 27
Many thanks to all of you that have booked into next years National Conference in Blackpool.
As previously announced, requests for a room at the Holiday Inn conference HQ hotel have exceeded the number of rooms available. We have been working with the Blackpool Tourist Board to produce a list of suitable quality hotels at special rates for our delegates. If you booked in during the first few weeks and your booking number is up to and including 170 then you have been allocated a room if you requested one, unless you have been otherwise advised. We only reserved spaces at the Hotel for those attending the Conference functions and not just the AGM’s.
The entire booking system is being operated manually, and we have been swamped with demand. Consequently, not everybody requesting a room has yet been contacted, but we will be in touch via the telephone soon so don’t panic.
For those with bookings after number 170 you have options available:
1. Ask to be added to the Holiday Inn waiting list, as some rooms may become available due to cancellations.
2. Use the online booking service offered above. Cancellations will be possible if circumstances change. Please note that some of the hotels on the system are a distance from the Winter Gardens. We will not be providing transport to and from these, but taxis and Uber are available.
3. Book directly with a huge range of hotels or airbnbs available online.
